Goats
Percy was born on the way to the livestock auction. He is part angora, so he gets really soft, long hair in the winter. The livestock auction promised to sell him and his mother together but then they ended up auctioning them off separately. His mother was sold for meat. At four hours old, was sold to a little old lady for seven dollars. She had no idea how to care for him and turned him over to Faith who was picking up some rescued cats.
He was so small that Faith was able to put him in the cat carrier to bring him back to the rescue. She had to bottle-feed him every two hours so that he would survive. Percy is about nine years old now but he doesn't know it. He still thinks that he is a baby and needs to be spoiled so he is always following the pig feeders around trying to sneak a snack.
