Mabel’s story began in 2015 when she was found up Butterfield Canyon in the middle of the night. She had several open wounds from barbed wire fences, along with many other life-threatening injuries. It was clear she had been lost for a while because of how visibly thin she was. After a group effort, Animal Services was able to round her up, and she spent a total of five weeks in their care getting the medical attention she so desperately needed. We were contacted to see if we could give her a forever home, and she's been with us ever since.
